Today we had the whole day to explore Paris. We started off at 6am (still on EST) and walked through a big ole park in which was right next to the Louvre. Then inside for lots and lots and lots of art. Over and over again when we found ourselves completely art-pooped we'd head for the exit but then get lost and sidetracked by yet another audio insight. Afterwards, we headed for the Arc de Triomphe but stopped short before crossing under the tourist trap underpass, the view across the 12 lane roundabout was good enough! From there, back up the Champs Elysees where we sang the familiar tune that will be stuck in your head for the rest for the day too! The evening was topped off with the usual backpacker’s rations: a bottle of red at the hostel and a cheap local restaurant.
